Plasma Cutter Consumable parts and its uses:

The most common plasma torch wear objects are: the Electrode, the Nozzle, and the Shield. The Swirl Ring is previous several changes longer when correctly maintained.

The Electrode:
The chief function of the electrode is to supply power to the plasma arc. Electrode wear is detected by exploratory the insert and measuring pit depth. Excessive electrode wear reduces cut superiority and can effect in damage to the plasma torch.

The Nozzle:
The nozzle limits the plasma arc to a exact diameter from side to side a perfectly round hole in it’s tip. It constricts the plasma gas, growing its velocity. The most common reason of nozzle damage is, once again, incompatible torch parts.

The Shield:
The shield environment the consumable stack, protecting the parts from damage. It contains and the same, perfectly round hole as the Nozzle. The most common difficulty connected with the shield is damage to the main orifice due to being infertile or clogged by dross or spatter.

The Swirl Ring:
The swirl ring creates and wheel the swirling act of the gas as it flows approximately the electrode and nozzle. When inspected and cleaned frequently, the swirl rings will outlast lots of electrode and nozzle changes.
